OUR LITTLE JOURNAL ABOUT DESIGN, TECHNOLOGY, AND NEW ORLEANS

Global Green City Carbon Index

www.citycarbonindex.org – development

Working with Global Green USA and Shaw Jelveh Design, we developed this WordPress-based environmental advocacy site in time for Global Green’s Pre-Oscar Party this year. The site features carbon emissions data and an ‘action alerts’ publishing mechanism, as well as loads of Facebook integration.

www.stmarysdominican.org – design and development

Working with Tom Martin and Converse Digital, we designed and developed this WordPress-based site for a local high school.  This assignment was notable in that we were tasked with creating highly-defined User roles for 45+ contributors.

www.jcrs.org – design and development

We developed a new brand identity, and designed and built a new CMS-driven site for Jewish Children’s Regional Service.

UNITY of Greater New Orleans

www.unitygno.org – design & development

We recently launched a new & improved website for UNITY of Greater New Orleans.  If you’re not familiar with the great work that UNITY does for the New Orleans community, check out their Signs of Life blog – amazing and very poignant reflections on the most vulnerable folks in our city.

best_of_2010gambit – 2010 Best of the Web Awards

UPDATE: The results came in, and two of the three nominated sites we built won first place in this Gambit magazine ‘Best of New Orleans’ poll.  Congrats Sucré and Lakeside Camera Photoworks!

Mayas

mayas restaurant & bar

While the logo and website are a bit peculiar, a few of us have lunched at Mayas on Magazine Street recently and loved it.  The tuna tartar was absolutely incredible, and the vibe was nice – cool and dark, nice hustling staff.  Interesting place, and one I’m sure we’ll hit again.

swipe_blackgold

defend new orleans black & gold tee

We recently picked up hosting duties for defend new orleans, and Jac was kind enough to set us up with some bangin tees.   Muchos Gracias, amigo!

gott gourmet cafe

Huge fans of this casual but delicious place on Magazine.  The food is spectacular but accessible – rarely do we all leave a table so universally pleased with our meal.  I thought that the Gott Salad was ridiculously good (topped with panko-friend brie croquettes – are you kidding me?), and the guys all raved about their sandwiches, all served on great-looking paninis.  Allan says that the weekend breakfasts are incredible – Thumbs way up.

swipe_landry

www.landryarch.com

We recently designed and launched a new Flash site for Landry Architecture, a New Orleans-based regional architecture firm. The site features a simple but stylish presentation of architecture and planning projects.

eyeblastereyeblaster – rich media campaign management

We recently produced a somewhat complex rich media campaign for a national food brand, and worked with Eyeblaster for the first time.  Neat system for managing campaigns – it facilitates the submission & preview of rich media assets for deployment to traffic agencies or publications.  One cool feature is the ‘preview in context’ function, allowing the user to place rich media units into any active website for contextual previewing.
